The following museums and gardens are open free to Utah residents on specified days thanks to Salt Lake County taxpayers contributing to the ZAP (Zoo, Arts and Parks) Fund.
The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is open free to Utah residents the First Wednesday of every month which is tomorrow April 1 (no it is not an April Fools joke!)
The first Monday of every month the Utah Museum of Natural History stays open to 8 PM and is free!
Red Butte Garden is open free to Utah residents on Arbor Day

Utah Economic Summit
Though challenges remain, the nation's recession shows signs of bottoming out, and Utah's economy is poised for a strong recovery, Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr. and an economist said Monday at the Governor's third annual Utah Economic Summit.

Here is another example that the greater Salt Lake City Utah area remains to be somewhat insulated from the woes of other states across the country.As I have stated before our unemployment rate is one of the lowest in the country and our growth rate is still rising.

Here I am, on my way to Kauai tomorrow and I'm bummed that I'll miss Pond Skimming at The Canyons Ski Resort this year. I love the tropics and Kauai especially but...Pond Skimming only comes once a year. All this is due to a bad analysis of schedule. I guess you might wonder what is Pond Skimming.
