You'll also want to get a feel for the crime rate in your area, and you'll want to know about any zoning requirements. Are people able to just come and build new buildings around and on your property or are you protected from that? 

It may also be important for you to know if the grocery store is close to you or if there are several grocery stores around so you can get cheaper prices. Are you a fan or Chinese or Pizza? Would it bother you if you could find a pizza shop for miles?
