I've lived all over the country and knew I was in the right place when I landed in Salt Lake City, Utah.  If playing outdoors is an important part of your life you will agree with me that no other place is there access to so many different things to do and yet be so close to an international airport.  Within 20 minutes you can be in the mountains hiking, biking, skiing, fly fishing, boating, hot air ballooning, paragliding, kite boarding, snowboarding, picnicking, trail running, camping, hunting - it just all depends on the season.  Speaking of seasons, that's another beautiful thing here, we have four very distinct seasons so you never can be bored!

When you have been somewhere a long time or grow up there people sometimes take for granted what they have.  I have been in Salt Lake City, Holladay and Park City, Utah for 19 years and find myself not always as awestruck and I had been in the past.  I do catch myself though because we are always surrounded by natural beauty.

The following video was produced by a young man recently moved to Salt Lake City and Snowbird Utah.  I think this is a good illustration of what a newcomer experiences when moving to the mountains for the first time.
