The following museums and gardens are open free to Utah residents on specified days thanks to Salt Lake County taxpayers contributing to the ZAP (Zoo, Arts and Parks) Fund.

The Utah Museum of Fine Arts is open free to Utah residents the First Wednesday of every month which is tomorrow April 1 (no it is not an April Fools joke!)

The first Monday of every month the Utah Museum of Natural History stays open to 8 PM and is free!

Red Butte Garden is open free to Utah residents on Arbor Day Friday, April 24, 2009 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. You will get a free tree to plant too!
