"Moab Muni Fest 2009"

Have you ever ridden a unicycle? I had one as a kid and never quite got the hang of it, of course my balance is lousy on 2 feet much less one wheel.

This time of year makes me think of one of my favorite places in the world - Moab, Utah. Moab is a spectacular center of red-rock beauty and desert formations with the Colorado River cutting through it. I will write more on it later but now back to the subject. Moab is a Mecca for hikers, cyclists, bikers, 4-wheelers, river rafters, fly fisher folks and more! For the last 8 years it also has been a site for the Moab Muni Fest" which this year is March 27-28.

"MUni" is short for Mountain Unicycling. "Fest" is short for Festival, and that's what the Moab MUni Fest is all about. Here Mountain unicyclists gather to ride and socialize with other MUni riders in the scenic red rock wonderland of Southern Utah. It's a place to test and expand their limits, hone skills, and learn new techniques from other riders.
