The post World War II generation known as the Baby Boomers are now getting to a point in their life where they are being called Golden Boomers.   They are a large and influential group, Baby Boomers control over 80% of personal financial assets and more than 50% of discretionary spending power.  They are responsible for more than half of all consumer spending, as an example they are represent 80% of all leisure travel spending $500 million on vacations yearly. 

It only makes sense that it is the "Boomers" are driving the "downsizing" in the housing market and would be much more evident had it not been for the bank and lending fiasco we have gone through.

The terms "one level living" "carefree living" "master on the main" "right-sized quality" are turning a lot more heads than they have in the recent past.  Golden Boomers are looking for a simpler life that frees them to travel and spend their free time having fun.  PUDs and Private Communities are the perfect answer to this desire as lack of home maintenance has become important.
